Interior Ministry Sets Deadline for Illegal Residents and Afghan Citizen Card Holders to Leave Pakistan

The Interior Ministry has issued a deadline for illegal residents and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders to leave Pakistan. The Federal Interior Ministry has ordered all ACC holders to exit the country by March 31, 2025.
According to the ministry, the program for the return of illegal foreigners has been in effect since November 1, 2023. Now, all illegal foreigners and ACC holders are instructed to voluntarily leave the country by March 31, 2025. Starting April 1, the process of deporting all foreigners from Pakistan will commence. Afghan Citizen Card holders have been given ample time for an honorable return. During the repatriation process, better treatment will be provided to the foreigners.
The ministry has also made arrangements for food and healthcare for those returning. Pakistan has been a kind host to Afghan refugees, fulfilling its promises and responsibilities as a responsible state. According to the Interior Ministry, foreigners residing in Pakistan must meet legal requirements and abide by Pakistan's constitution.
