YouTube Tightens Monetization Rules for AI-Generated Videos Starting July 15

YouTube is implementing significant changes to its monetization policies, effective July 15, 2025, which will directly impact AI-generated videos. The core of these updates emphasizes the need for "Original" and "Authentic" content within the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).

The updated guidelines are specifically designed to more effectively identify and prevent the monetization of "mass-produced" and "repetitious" content. While YouTube has not issued an outright "ban" on all AI content, these new rules are anticipated to severely affect videos that heavily rely on AI-generated voices, avatars, automated scripts, or simple slideshows that lack substantial human commentary or creative input.
