Mangora Primary School's 936 Students Safe After Headmaster Acts Quickly to Recognize Flood Threat
In the wake of devastating floods in Swat, the lives of all students at a government primary school in the Mangora area were saved due to the headmaster's presence of mind. According to Geo News, Saeed Ahmed, the headmaster of Government Primary School Mangloor, saw a sudden increase in the flow of a nearby stream on the morning the flood hit.Sensing the seriousness of the situation, he immediately ordered all teachers to dismiss the students. Shortly after, water began to enter the school, and the external wall collapsed. However, thanks to the headmaster's timely decision, all 936 students enrolled at the school were safely evacuated to a secure location.
Saeed Ahmed stated that the entire school was submerged within just five minutes, with all classrooms and offices filling with water. Fortunately, no lives were lost. This incident is a testament to how quick thinking and timely action can prevent a major tragedy.
