KP Govt Sets December 7 Rally to Push Forward Peshawar’s New Development Agenda
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has unveiled a **Rs100 billion development package** aimed at restoring Peshawar’s historic identity and modernizing the city’s urban infrastructure. During a meeting with current and former lawmakers from Peshawar, he detailed plans to enhance civic services, expand infrastructure, and revive long-delayed development projects.
Afridi noted that a high-level meeting will soon be convened to fast-track major initiatives in the provincial capital. He stressed that Peshawar is the face of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and its progress can no longer be delayed. Senior political figures and administrative officials participated in the discussions to chart out the city’s development priorities.
The government’s comprehensive plan focuses on infrastructure expansion, improved transport systems, urban planning reforms, and strengthening civic amenities under the Rs100 billion package. A massive public gathering is scheduled for **December 7** to rally support for the development vision, with officials highlighting the need for coordination and timely execution of all projects.
