UAE and Ismaili Imamat Discuss Cooperation on Shared Values and Inclusiveness
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; H.H. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; H.E. Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; and Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and the Abu Dhabi Executive Office. Also present were H.E. Sultan Ali Allana, Representative of the Aga Khan, and Aziz Merchant, President of the Ismaili Council for the UAE.
Leaders Stress Unity and Moderation of the Ummah Amid Global Uncertainty
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prince Rahim Aga Khan explored ways to strengthen collaboration between the UAE and the Ismaili Imamat in areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on shared human values, peaceful coexistence, inclusiveness, and improving quality of life.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan commended the UAE’s role in humanitarian assistance, regional stability, peace-building efforts, and its promotion of shared values across the Muslim Ummah. Both leaders underlined the importance of working together to reinforce unity, moderation, and resilience within the wider Ummah amid ongoing global uncertainty.
