Rescue Teams Continue Efforts to Locate Missing Chitral Schoolboy
CHITRAL: A ninth-grade student from Upper Chitral went missing after reportedly falling into the Chitral River while playing near its bank on Saturday morning.
According to reports, Shahidur Rehman, son of Sher Nayab Khan and a resident of Khot in Upper Chitral, was currently residing at a hostel in Chitral for his studies. The incident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on June 13 when he was playing near the river and accidentally fell into the fast-flowing water.
Rescue teams and local volunteers have launched a search operation to locate the missing student. Despite ongoing efforts, his whereabouts remain unknown.
Family members and local residents have appealed to the public for assistance in the search operation. Anyone with information related to the incident is requested to contact Rescue 1122 Chitral immediately.
