Car Falls Into Deep Ravine Near Hunza’s Ganesh Bridge, One Dies
Rescue 1122 Conducts Difficult Rescue Operation After Hunza Accident
HUNZA: One person lost his life and two others were injured in a tragic road accident near Ganesh Bridge in Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan, early Saturday morning.
According to Rescue 1122, the accident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. when a vehicle carrying passengers from Nagar suddenly went out of the driver’s control and plunged into a ravine more than 150 feet deep near Ganesh Bridge. All three occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the crash.
Upon receiving the emergency call, Rescue 1122 teams, assisted by local volunteers, reached the scene and launched a challenging rescue operation in the difficult terrain. Using ropes and rescue equipment, responders recovered the victims from the deep gorge, provided first aid, and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital in Aliabad.
Initially, two of the injured passengers were reported to be in critical condition, while the third was said to be out of danger. However, one of the critically injured victims later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Meanwhile, efforts continued to retrieve the damaged vehicle from the ravine with the help of a crane.
