Diesel Reduced by Rs67 as Fuel Prices See Major Decline in Pakistan
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a major reduction in petroleum prices, cutting petrol by Rs74 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs67 per litre. The move comes as international oil prices decline and regional tensions ease following the Iran-US peace agreement.
Following the reduction, petrol prices are expected to decrease from Rs373.78 to Rs299.78 per litre, while diesel prices will fall from Rs378.78 to Rs311.78 per litre, subject to an official notification.
The prime minister said the government is passing on the full benefit of lower global oil prices to the public and reaffirmed its commitment to providing maximum relief to citizens and maintaining economic stability.
