LG Turns Up the Cool This Summer with the Launch of the Titan Deluxe Big Split Air Conditioner

LG Turns Up the Cool This Summer with the Launch of the Titan Deluxe Big Split Air Conditioner

Tropical compressor that functions reliably in extreme heat, is corrosion resistant and can generate blasts of cool wind that can be felt 20 meters away

LG Electronics (LG) is giving Middle East consumers a new tool to combat the extreme temperatures and humidity that are common during the summer months, with the launch of its new Titan Deluxe Big split air conditioner. The S306EC/S366EC packs a newly designed Tropical Compressor, which offers high reliability even when temperatures reach 60-degrees Celsius.

As a global leader of innovative air conditioners and energy solutions, LG understands that reliable compressors are the core of any premium air conditioner. In line with this belief, LG developed its new Tropical Compressor, improving upon the previous model's capabilities. The latest Titan air conditioner line up are TUV Rheinland certified to withstand, and excel, at cooling performance in temperatures as high as 60-degrees Celsius.

"LG is focused on constantly developing class-leading products that offer total customer comfort and satisfaction. Our new Titan Deluxe Big S306EC/S366EC stands as the latest example of this commitment to innovation, as its Tropical Compressor offers even more impressive cooling credentials compared to its predecessor,"
explained Mr. D.Y.Kim, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE.
"The new Titan Deluxe is the best air conditioner for every household, thanks to its impressive cooling performance and the absolute reliability of its new Tropical Compressor."

Compared to previous Titan models, the Titan Deluxe Big split air conditioner can generate blasts of cool wind that can be felt as far as 20-meters away from the cooling unit. This is thanks to an improved fluid dynamic framework design, which enhances air flow and maximizes the capacity of air intake and discharge. With its Optimized Airflow system, the Titan Deluxe Big offers four way swing, a six step vertical vane and five step horizontal vane. LG continues to use a SKEW FAN that is 25% larger than what is conventionally used, and this combined with the aforementioned features and design elements allows the air conditioner to cool homes quicker and more effectively.

With JET COOL technology, the Titan Deluxe Big is optimized to disperse air evenly at high speed, which allows the air conditioner to reduce temperatures by 5-degrees Celsius within three minutes. This is 20% quicker than comparable split air conditioners can offer.

The exterior unit of the LG Titan Deluxe Big split air conditioner has been designed to be corrosion resistant and, like other members of the Titan family, the Titan Deluxe Big also boasts several advanced air purification technologies that ensure consumers enjoy healthier environments in their homes.

Opposition uproar in NA as Reham Khan's 'helicopter use' becomes topic of discussion

Opposition uproar in NA as Reham Khan's 'helicopter use' becomes topic of discussion

ISLAMABAD: Opposition staged a walk out from the National Assembly session on Thursday as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA took a jab at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan’s wife, Reham Khan.

“Reham Khan uses helicopters like an auto rickshaw,” PML-N MNA Talal Chaudhry said on the floor of the assembly, instantly causing an uproar in Parliament.

As PTI started walking out, Pakhtunkhawa Mili Awami Party chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai urged members to not take up issues of family on the floor of the House.

Further irking PTI leaders, Chaudhry asked NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to leave the chair if he thought he is ‘party in the NA-122 issue.’ On this, Sadiq left the chair with Deputy Speaker Murtaza Abbasi presiding over the session.

Regarding reports that the Pakistan Peoples Party wants to bring party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Parliament in place of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah, Chaudhry said, “PML-N will welcome PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto in Parliament.”

“But we will feel sorry for Khursheed Shah,” he added.

While the Jamaat-e-Islami, PTI and PPP staged a walkout over the PML-N MNAs remarks, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) also staged a walk-out to protest Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s statements.

Earlier, the defence minister had said that Muhajirs were only those who had migrated from places such as Jalandhar and Ludhiyana, while the rest were ‘fake Muhajirs’.

PML-N MNA warns of bloody revolution

PML-N MNA Dr Iftikhar Cheema warned the government of a ‘bloody revolution’  if farmers were being neglected in the fiscal budget for this year.

“We are heading towards a bloody revolution by ignoring farmers — the corner stone of our economy,” the PML-N lawmaker upheld.

Further, Cheema urged the government to sign an agreement for exporting rice with Iran.

Meanwhile, PML-N MNA Shakir Bashir Awan lauded senators for their fruitful recommendations particularly for improving the agricultural system.

“I request the government to waive off loans of farmers facing environmental crisis in Punjab,” he added.

While most PML-N MNAs were all praise for the budget, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Imran Khattak criticised the government as most of the targets set in last fiscal year could not be achieved.

“The mass transit system has failed,” Khattak observed, without giving any suggestions to the government for improvement.

FC arrests two men linked to Imran Farooq murder case

QUETTA: Two men said to be linked to the murder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) convener Dr. Imran Farooq were held near the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman, it was confirmed on Thursday.

The accused— identified as Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim by Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman Khalid Wasey— are wanted in the murder case of Dr. Imran Farooq.

Both suspects belong to a political party based in Karachi, Wasey said in a statement on Thursday, without disclosing the name of the political party. The accused were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for interrogation after important revelations, Wasey said.

FC arrested both men when they entered Pakistan from Afghanistan. “Both accused were apprehended at Addah Kahol area of the border,” the spokesman said, giving no further details. Wasey said the federal interior ministry was also informed of the arrests.

An important breakthrough is expected in the Imran Farooq murder case, a security official who declined to be named told Dawn.com.

The source added that both suspects had been based in neighbouring Afghanistan for a long time. FIA and district administration of Killa Abdullah have decided to shift the accused from Chaman to Quetta, for which strict security arrangements have been made.

Khalid Shamim, according to a petition filed by his wife in the Sindh High Court, has been missing since January 6, 2011, and was an accounts officer of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board.

Shamim, according to a progress report placed on record on the SHC's order, was also involved in another murder case registered at the Model Colony police station.

A 2014 BBC report refers to the same petition in the Sindh High Court, and mentions Khalid Shamim as another man “believed to have helped the two suspects [Imran Farooq’s alleged murderers] return to Pakistan.”

The other man said to be arrested by FC today—Mohsin Ali— is mentioned in the same report as one of the two suspects who are believed to have travelled from Pakistan to London to assassinate Imran Farooq.

In April this year, when Federal Interior Ministar Nisar Ali Khan announced the arrest of Moazzam Ali Khan from Karachi, also for alleged involvement in Imran Farooq's murder, he said:

"The two other men who were suspected [of being involved in the murder], they were poor people," referring to the two Pakistani nationals —29-year-old Mohsin Ali Syed and 34-year-old Muhammad Kashif Khan Kamran — wanted by British authorities investigating the murder.

Tetra Pak Dairy Index 2015: innovate and communicate to revitalise milk

Tetra Pak Dairy Index 2015: innovate and communicate to revitalise milk

Busy, health-conscious generation reaffirms strong belief in milk’s goodness, providing opportunities to grow consumption

Lahore: Consumers worldwide remain overwhelmingly positive about the goodness of milk, understand its nutritional value, but feel variety and convenience are not keeping pace with modern lifestyles and expectations.

That is the conclusion of an international consumer study commissioned by Tetra Pak and published today in the company’s 8th Dairy Index. The study, undertaken earlier this year, highlights the need for dairy companies to revitalise the relevance of milk among consumers of all ages, through the introduction of innovative products and a fresh approach to marketing and communication.

For several years, the food industry has reported rising demand for nutritious but convenient products, fuelled by the new generation of health-conscious consumers leading ever-more active lives. People already regard milk as ‘nutritious’; ‘healthy’; ‘a good source of calcium’; and ‘tasty’, but to maintain its relevance in the modern world, producers need to innovate and develop drinks that reflect changing lifestyles.

Dennis Jönsson, President and CEO of Tetra Pak Group, commented:
“The key to energising dairy in all geographies is to make people excited about drinking milk; creating new products and developing communication campaigns to show that it is convenient, pleasurable, a special treat even, and relevant to all.”

The report explores instances where dairy companies have successfully brought new drinks to market, identifying four global product trends. These trends include indulgent yet permissible treats; customized products that make milk easier to digest or provide added health benefits; drinks made for on-the-go consumption or snacking, and “pure” milk with organic or “natural” values.

In addition, the report reveals how new communication channels can be used to create successful marketing campaigns that raise awareness of the nutritional benefits of milk, whilst forging an emotional connection with people to drive consumption.
