Tragedy in Karachi: Family Breakdown Leads Mother to Kill Her Two Young Children

The accused, identified as the children's mother, Adiba, was married to Ghufran nine years ago. The couple separated last year, and their children had been living with their father. The children would visit their mother on weekends, and they were with her last night. A case regarding the children's custody was pending in court. According to sources, the mother was suffering from mental health issues, which was a contributing factor to the couple's separation. The father, Ghufran, works for a private company. This tragedy follows a similar incident just a few days ago, where a father, also amid family turmoil, threw his two children into the sea at Sea View before jumping in himself.
