Pakistan Suffers Humiliating 202-Run Defeat to West Indies

The Pakistan cricket team faced a devastating defeat, losing by 202 runs to the West Indies in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba. Chasing a target of 295 runs, the Men in Green were bundled out for just 92 runs in 29.2 overs. This marks the first time in 50 years that Pakistan has lost an ODI to the West Indies by a margin of over 200 runs. The previous record for their biggest defeat against the West Indies was 150 runs, which occurred during the 2015 ODI World Cup.

Pakistan's batting lineup collapsed dramatically, with five players—Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Hasan Ali, and Abrar Ahmed—failing to score a single run. The top scorer was vice-captain Salman Ali Agha with 30 runs, while all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz contributed an unbeaten 23. The West Indies' victory was powered by a magnificent performance from fast bowler Jayden Seales, who took a career-best 6 wickets for just 18 runs, effectively dismantling Pakistan's top order.

For the West Indies, captain Shai Hope was the hero with the bat, scoring a brilliant unbeaten 120 runs, which was his 18th one-day international century. His powerful partnership with Justin Greaves, who scored a quick 43 not out from 24 balls, helped the West Indies reach a formidable total of 294 for 6 in their 50 overs. This victory sealed a much-needed first ODI series win against Pakistan since 1991 for the Caribbean side.
